Abstract

The author presents the thesis according to wich the legislative work undertaken by the Emperor Justinian represents a model of legal integration of relevant guiding principles, especially the aequare libertatem, that is, equal freedom of all men, since the law contained in such works reflects institutional, political and social changes. The universal reach of Roman law is taken up by modern codes, which have continued the Justinianean aspiration whith variable success, and continuous improvement process.
