Abstract

The author traces the origin and evolution of this resource within the framework of the Regio Patronato Indiano, covering the positive provisions that concern it, both royal and canonical, as well as the regalist doctrine that was formed along the centuries. He proposes jurisprudential examples of fifty-six processes initiated in Chile, which allows the reader to enter into the practice of this institution.
